“I was a patient of Harvey's beginning in 2019, and the brief couple years he was my main provider were great. However, once I was transferred to Erin Loether, things went downhill. In July 2024, after six months without medication, Erin suddenly decided that I was "too old" to be taking what she had already independently decided was a significantly reduced 15mg once-a-day Adderall ER caplet. Less than a month later, during a follow-up appointment, Erin suddenly required a comprehensive drug screening and physical through a PCP in order to prescribe even that reduced prescription. There was no advance notice for these requirements, and I had never in six years across multiple providers in and out of state been required or even asked to complete a drug screening or physical. Erin insisted I try taking an SSRI or MAOI instead, which I refused, as I have refused several times for years while she was my provider. I had to pay more than $300 out of pocket for a 12-panel drug screening, which the LabCorp staff assured me was something they had never seen a provider request in my situation. A 10-panel was somewhat common, but a 12-panel blood draw prompted them to call Genuine Healthcare's office to ensure the right test had been requested. So, I completed this anyway, only to have Erin make me pay for not one, or two, but THREE separate telehealth appointments within a matter of three weeks just to ask about why this test was required, why a comprehensive physical was required, why she hadn't notified me months beforehand, and what could be done about covering the estimated several months gap in treatment before I could complete the physical. At that time, Erin refused to clarify what was required for me to continue receiving even a reduced dose of medication I'd taken without incident for more than five years. She offered instead that I try Strattera, which I did. And then once I was told to pay for another appointment within two weeks just to ask about side effects I was concerned over, I decided to end my relationship with Erin Loether and Genuine Healthcare. Now, the difficult reason I'm sharing my story and urging people to carefully weigh whether they should trust Genuine Healthcare: Earlier this year, in February 2026, I had a new job opportunity come about that required me to complete a psychiatric battery. As part of that battery, I was required to request a release from Erin Loether. Despite knowing I'd refused SSRIs and MAOIs, Erin disclosed that she'd prescribed several. And further, she disclosed in provider's note at the end of that release that my "prognosis is stable -- given medication and therapy are maintained." Needless to say, this led to that job offer being withdrawn. When I reached out to Genuine Healthcare asking why Erin made this statement on a medical release for a psychiatric evaluation to a prospective employer, she argued that she "did not provide a current prognosis." When I told her that it doesn't matter whether she views that as a current prognosis, both the evaluators and the employer viewed it as definitive of my ability to even hold employment, she had a message sent to me telling me to "seek out another provider" for a different opinion. Two months later, I am now homeless and having to rebuild my life from scratch. I have barely managed to hang onto my car. It has been near impossible to find any employer who is willing to consider me without asking for a medical release. I have had to resort to hiding and masking anything that could reveal I have adult ADHD. In some cases, I imagine Erin may be a decent provider. But in my experience, Erin failed to give the extra 10% anyone should expect from a medical professional -- especially one providing psychiatric services. While I can't take legal action because of how broad the scope a protected "clinical opinion" can be under Washington law, I'm choosing to at least share my experience publicly. What I can assure you is: After my experience with Erin Loether, I will never trust my health with a psychiatric provider again.”
